The Rainscreen system from VIVA is an open-joint ventilated facade made of aluminum composite panels. It is installed without silicone and requires no special maintenance: the air chamber behind the cladding drains water and dries out moisture, and each panel can be removed individually.
What is a rainscreen facade?
It is a cladding system separated from the wall by an air space. The exterior panel does not act as a waterproof barrier: it provides protection from the sun and direct rain, while the air space ventilates, drains water that enters through the open joints, and keeps the wall dry. The result is an envelope that manages moisture by design.
Advantages of the VIVA System
- Silicone-free installation: VIVA explains that silicone leaks oil, which stains the facade, increases maintenance costs, and usually cracks after 3 or 4 years.
- Open meeting with a clean sound and precise modulation.
- Removable panels: Any part can be removed, repaired, and reinstalled without affecting the others.
- Better insulation thermal and acoustic insulation thanks to the ventilated cavity.
- For new construction and remodeling of existing facades.
Applications in Mexico
Corporate buildings, hospitals, shopping centers, office buildings, building envelope renovations, and any architectural project where long-term facade maintenance is a decision-making criterion.
Which panel should I use with the system?
The system is assembled using Standard ACP or, if required by building regulations, with ACP flame-retardant, in any of the VIVA color series.
